Hiroshi Fujiwara's AF1's!!!

You can be sure that you have never seen anything like this before. Hiroshi Fujiwara now got a special pair of AF1's. These only exist once. The AF1's are made out of real crocodile leather and come with the matching bracelet.

The details are just incredible. The gold on the lacelocks and the bracelet is real 18K gold. Is that amazing or what?

I think this is definitely the nicest sneaker I have ever seen. Amaaaaaaaazing!!! The pics are via his Honeyee Blog.

Flight Club in NY TImes!!!

Now an article appeared in the NY Times. One of their reporters dropped by the store and talks about the store, the people of the store, the customers, etc. Its an article of somebody who was still not ready to believe what the sneaker game is about today and what is happening between the sneaker connoisseurs. The Comme des Garcons Guerilla Store in Hong Kong just recently opened. As usual they found a very special location for it. The interior is very drastic and extreme. I have also seen the Guerilla Store in Berlin and there it was the same. Clear historical integration, but extreme. If you have time to pass by this location you should not miss. Nike x Quiksilver!!

After tons of collaborations, its now also Quiksilvers turn. Friday Magazine via Kix-Files shows us a shot of that action. In terms of colors the sneaker is kept rather simple with only white and black. But I have to say, I think the way they did it, is quite a nice job. Kept the sides in clean white and applied the Quiksilver graphics in an original manner.

David Eden's Slick Exotica!!!

Sure, these sneakers remind me of the AF1 in terms of form, but then again which new sneaker brands comes up and has something completely new. Only a very few. Also, the logo reminds me of Lacoste ... never use a crocodile as a logo. But eventhough it seems like these guys have not been very creative, I still find these sneakers super hot.. the name already... Slick Exotica... who comes up with something like that.

The sneakers have great details, a huge range of colors and they have a lot of crocodile leather... that already makes them very hoooot. I do suggest to only go for the classic looking One-5, that you see above... all the others are not really great. But for the summer I think a flashy pair of Slick Exotica is the perfect gear.

LaMJC attended the Joga Bonito Zine launch in Milan. The event was massive. The Worldcup Nike Wovens were launched at this occassion and each Worldcup team, that is sponsored by Nike had its own sneaker with the matching 1000% Bearbrick. The Bearbricks were designed by famous artists like Delta, Stash, Rostarr and many others together with Nike. Check them out here...

Here we have finally some good shots of the Reed Space, the retail outlet/gallery by Staple Design. The wall with all the chairs makes the location look very special. Great idea!!

Also the rest of the location looks fantastic. In a way simple, modern design, but with great details. Practical and special at the same time. This place is really not to miss out on. I was unlucky, because when I was in NYC a few weeks ago, they were just renovating and now I am pissed, because I see what I missed out on. Well, next time, I guess!! Pics via Jeff Staple.

Visionaire Gallery NYC!!!

During my stay in NYC I also had the chance to visit the Visionaire Gallery. Visionaire, if you don't know already, is a art/fashion publication that you cannot really not compare to any other. They have very special issues every time, working together with the worlds best in every sector. When they do a Louis Vuitton Issue, the magazine comes in a custom Louis Vuitton bag, when they do a Van Cleef & Arpels Issue, a piece of jewelry comes along... what can I see... just an exceptional publication.

When I was there it was still the time of Visionaire 47, the taste issue.

The gallery is in Soho, close to Canal Street. Overall kept very simple in white with really high ceilings.

On the wall that you see on the left, they had put up the current issue. Its an expensive wall, if you consider that an Issue goes for 250$.

For the taste issue they had put up walls with nice pictures and going along with these pictures they had a respective taste that one could try out. Very interesting. Question like "How does Guilt taste?" where asked and a taste came along to answer it. Their work is really always very impressive. If you have the time to pass by some time, you really should. Its on 11, Mercer Street in NYC. Right now Visionaire 48 should be on display... its the Magic Issue, coming with an 18kt Gold Alhambra Charm from Van Cleef & Arpels. That already makes it worth getting. Check on their website for exact content.

Coming Home by Peter Sutherland!!

We have announced the upcoming launch of this book already a few days ago. Here now some more insight on this great publication and also a few nice shots from it. If you did not have the chance yet, the pictures are being excibited at The Reed Space in Orchard Street, NYC.

"Coming Home, published by PAM Books (Australia), is his latest collection of photographs. The photographs in Coming Home were shot mainly in Colorado between 2002 and 2006, and are held together with a loose narrative thread, spun by guest-editor Misha Hollenbach. They are images of objects, places, and situations that Sutherland feels a strong personal connection to and things that he wants to celebrate: the outdoors, classic rock, animals and those little moments in everyday life that eloquently betray the notion of ordinariness. "

Ok, this is big news. Finally they let the Bomb drop. The guys of Beinghunted have opened their own retail location in Berlin... AM FIRMAMENT .. thats the name of the shop.

The products they are selling are incredible. Here just a short list of brands that they are carrying: Acronym, Answer, unRivaled, Visvim, w)taps and on top of that Books, accessoires, etc.
